How can I know if I am pregnant?
Through a urine, blood exam or ultrasound
Is an ILE safe?
Yes, as long as it is performed by qualified physicians. You must first be evaluated by a physician. And sign an informed consent form regarding the procedure to be carried out.
Can I get pregnant after an ILE?
Yes, you will ovulate again, and you could become pregnant almost immediately after a procedure, therefore it is recommended that you begin using a contraceptive method to avoid another procedure in the near future.
Is ILE legal?
Yes, the practice of legal termination of pregnancy has been carried out in Mexico City for the past 17 years after being legalized in 2007.
If I'm not from Mexico City, can you still assist me?
Yes, as long as the procedure is performed in Mexico City.
I am a minor. Can I undergo an ILE?
Yes, as long as you are accompanied by a parent or guardian 18 years or older and you both present a valid ID (identification).
How many types of ILE exist?
LTP with medication or LTP by manual vacuum aspiration (local anesthesia or sedation).
How can I terminate a pregnancy with pills?
LTP with medication must be carried out under medical supervision. It is recommended that you go to an authorized clinic so you can receive information, treatment, and post procedure indications. In addition to attending your follow-up appointment where it is confirmed that the pregnancy has been terminated successfully.
How long does a manual vacuum aspiration last?
The procedure lasts 15 to 20 minutes, after that you will spend a resting period and receive a medical evaluation post procedure before you can be discharged.
Is it confidential?
